The Community Ministry of North Augusta (CMONA) provides help with emergency needs in North Augusta, South Carolina.  This help may include assistance with paying overdue bills for water, electricity, and gas, obtaining newly-prescribed medicine (excluding narcotics), and providing food and clothing on a case-by-case basis.  The person in need must present a photo Identification Card (for example, Driver's License), a proof of residence/home address (within the Area 2 school district), and a Social Security card for each person in the household, plus the bills for which help is being requested.  He/she fills out an Application, then meets with a CMONA interviewer who assesses the need and determines what type of assistance may be available.  Referrals to other agencies may be made where appropriate.  The ministry is supported by 22 Area Churches.
